The last three months of this year appear to be quite busy for Honor China. Recent reports have revealed that the brand is gearing up to launch the Magic 8 series and GT 2 series of flagship phones in the home market. Now, a new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed that the Honor 500 series is also in the works for this year.
Honor 500 series key details tipped
According to DCS, two Honor 500 series phones will debut by the end of 2025 in China. While he has not specified the names of these devices, these are likely to be called the Honor 500 and 500 Pro. These devices will succeed the Honor 400 and 400 Pro, which came equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and 8 Gen 3 in June in China.
The Honor 500 series leak says that the phones will largely continue the success strategy of their predecessors, featuring an iPhone-like design, and are positioned as slim, lightweight, camera-focused devices with a 6.5-inch mid-sized display and a new 200-megapixel camera sensor. To recall, the Honor 400 and 400 Pro featured a 6.55-inch display and a 200-megapixel main camera.
He further mentioned that the Honor GT 2 series is also on the way with the latest prototype sporting a display of around 6.83 inches. The GT 2 lineup, which is expected to include the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro handsets, will offer extreme performance and feature a large battery. Previous leaks have revealed that the GT 2 could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 or Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, whereas the Pro edition could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. A recent leak revealed that the GT 2 could pack an 8,800mAh battery, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
Recent reports have revealed that the Honor Magic 8 series may go official in October in China. Therefore, it appears that the GT 2 lineup may arrive in November, and the Honor 500 series may debut in December. The Honor Power 2 is also tipped to launch in Q1 2026. This phone is expected to feature a 6.79-inch screen, Dimensity 8500, and a 10,000mAh battery.
