On Oct. 15, Honor will unveil the Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in China. Next year, the brand is expected to add new models, such as the Magic 8 Mini and Magic 8 Ultra, to the lineup. A new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the key specifications of the mini variant.
Honor Magic 8 Mini key specifications (rumored)

According to the tipster, the Honor Magic 8 Mini’s engineering prototype is a compact offering fitted with a 6.31-inch flat OLED panel. It supports a 1.5K resolution and has an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the device will feature a Dimensity 9500 series chip. Previous leaks have claimed that the device could be equipped with the overclocked Dimensity 9500 Plus SoC.
The rear camera setup will include a 200-megapixel primary camera and a periscope zoom lens. It is unclear whether the setup skips an ultra-wide camera.
The tipster did not mention the Magic 8 Mini’s battery size. However, considering that the Magic 8 packs a 7,000mAh battery, it is likely that the mini edition may feature a battery of around 6,500mAh capacity.
There is no information about the Magic 8 Mini’s wired charging capabilities. However, the leak states that the device will have wireless charging support. Like the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro, the mini edition is expected to run on MagicOS 10-based Android 16.
Apart from the Magic 8 series, the brand is also working on a couple of other smartphones. The November month may see the arrival of the Honor GT series of sub-flagship phones, and it is also expected to unveil the Honor 500 lineup before the end of the year. The Honor Power 2, equipped with a 6.79-inch display, a Dimensity 8500 chip, and a 10,000mAh battery, is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026.
