Recently, Xiaomi, Honor, iQOO, Realme, and OnePlus unveiled their flagship phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. A new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that Qualcomm could already be working on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. His recent Weibo post has leaked early details about the next-generation flagship chip.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 key details emerge

According to DCS, Qualcomm will skip TSMC’s N2 node and use the N2P for manufacturing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The new manufacturing process promises better power efficiency and performance as compared to N2.
The leak reveals that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 will bring support for LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage. This chipset will be designed for premium flagship phones, and therefore, it is expected to carry a premium price.
Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 17 series in September this year in China as the world’s first phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Therefore, it is likely that the Xiaomi 18 lineup, which is expected to launch in September 2026, could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
Qualcomm is unlikely to share details about the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip so soon as it is still not done yet with the current generation. The US-based chip maker is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip in the coming weeks.
This new chip, which will be positioned lower than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, is likely to be seen first on the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo, which may debut in December this year. It is unclear which other phones will have this new chip.
