OnePlus Ace 6T moniker revealed, to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

Qualcomm is expected to unveil the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip later this month. It is being said that the OnePlus Ace 6 Pro Max (previously known as Ace 6 Turbo) and the Vivo S50 Pro Mini will be the first smartphones to feature this chip. New updates that have surfaced on the Chinese social media platform Weibo reveal that the OnePlus offering will be called the OnePlus Ace 6T, and not the Ace 6 Pro Max.

According to reports, the OnePlus Ace 6T will feature a 6.7-inch OLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device will ship with ColorOS 16-based Android 16.

Under the hood, the Ace 6T will feature 12GB / 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 256GB / 512GB / 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device is said to pack a massive 8,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging. However, it will lack support for wireless charging.

Its rear camera setup will have a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It will have a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. It will also come with other features such as a metal middle frame, an X-axis linear motor, and dual speakers.

The OnePlus Ace 6T is also said to come in a special edition version in collaboration with the popular gaming title Genshin Impact. Apart from this, the device will be available in three shades: Flash Black, Shadow Green, and Electric Purple.

OnePlus is said to be working on the OnePlus 15R for the global market. At present, there is no clarity on whether it will be based on the Ace 6T or the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Ace 6.
