Reports suggest Motorola is gearing up to launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered Moto X70 Ultra in China. Globally, this device could be rebranded as the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra. A new report shared by AndroidHeadlines carries a leaked render of the device, giving a first look at its rear design.
Motorola Edge 70 Ultra’s leaked render

The leaked image shows the phone in two finishes, each featuring a patterned back panel that creates a textured appearance unlike the materials used on earlier Edge models. The camera housing sits in the top-left section with three visible lenses and a separate flash opening, and the layout suggests a combination of standard, ultrawide, and periscope telephoto cameras.
The frame is expected to be metallic, and the button arrangement includes an additional key on the left side intended for AI features. While the front of the device remains unseen, it is speculated to feature a flat OLED panel.
Motorola Edge 70 Ultra specifications (rumored)
The Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is expected to measure between 6.7 and 6.8 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is said to power the model, placing it below the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 that will appear in more advanced flagships. A recent Geekbench appearance shows scores of 2,636 for single-core and 7,475 for multi-core testing, along with a 16GB RAM variant running Android 16.
Battery capacity and charging data have not yet emerged, although a triple camera setup including a periscope telephoto lens is considered likely. Overall, the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is shaping up to be a premium entry focused on strong performance and an updated design language.
