Vivo has finally confirmed that the Vivo S50 series will be announced on Dec. 15 in China. Ahead of the launch, the S50 and S50 Pro are available for pre-orders through Vivo’s online store as well as other Chinese retailer platforms. At the same time, some Chinese tech bloggers have revealed the key specifications of both phones.
Vivo S50
The Vivo S50 will arrive in four configurations: such as 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+512GB. It will come in four shades, such as Space Black, Confession White, Serene Blue, and Inspirational Purple.
The S50 will feature a 6.59-inch OLED 1.5K display, a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. Its rear camera setup is said to feature a 50-megapixel LYT-700V main camera, an ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto.
Vivo S50 Pro Mini
The Vivo S50 Pro Mini will be available in three options, such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+512GB. It will be sold in three colours like Space Black, Confession White, and Inspirational Purple.
The S50 Pro Mini will come equipped with a 6.31-inch OLED 1.5K display, the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. Its rear camera setup is said to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor, an ultra-wide snapper, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto.
Both phones will offer other common features, such as LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, a 50-megapixel front camera, OriginOS 6-based Android 16, a metal middle frame, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, and an IP68/69-rated body.
