OnePlus introduced a 165Hz refresh rate on its devices with models such as the OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15R, and Ace 6T. The upcoming OnePlus Turbo 6 is also expected to feature a 165Hz screen. A new leak suggests that the company may push refresh rates even higher than the Honor Win series, which features a 185Hz refresh rate display.
OnePlus 16 may feature a 240Hz refresh rate

According to a recent Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, OnePlus is already evaluating ultra-high refresh rates starting with “2” (200Hz and above). This appears to align with a recent leak from another source, which claimed that OnePlus is aiming to strike a balance between high resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate.
As a result, there is a possibility that the OnePlus 16 could feature a 240Hz refresh rate, which may be considered overkill for a smartphone. OnePlus previously reduced the screen resolution from 2K to 1.5K to enable 165Hz support on the OnePlus 15. Hence, it remains to be seen whether a future OnePlus phone with a 240Hz screen will retain at least 1.5K resolution support.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 16 may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. It is also likely to pack a large battery to support the ultra-high refresh rate, similar to the OnePlus 15, which features a 7,300mAh battery.
A recent report revealed that the OnePlus 16 may feature a 20-megapixel + 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel triple camera setup. This same configuration could also be available on the Oppo Find N6, which is expected to debut in January 2026 in China. As for the OnePlus 16, it is tipped to launch in October 2026 in China.
