Save the date: Honor Magic 8 Pro is launching on January 19

This year, a couple of phone brands are expected to launch compact flagship phones, including Honor, Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus. Honor will be the first among these brands, as it has officially confirmed the launch of the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air on January 19 in China.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is now available for pre-orders in the country. Official listings have revealed that the device will be offered in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants. It will be sold in colour options such as black, white, purple, and orange.

Honor has also confirmed that the Magic 8 Pro Air has a thickness of just 6.3mm and weighs around 158 grams. Official teasers suggest that its rear design will be similar to Google Pixel phones and the Apple iPhone Air. With around 10 days remaining until launch, the brand is expected to reveal more details in the coming days.

Honor Magic 8 Pro Air specifications (rumored)

According to reports, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air will feature a 6.3-inch flat OLED display offering a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device is expected to run Android 16 with MagicOS 10 on top.

While existing Magic 8 series models are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the upcoming Magic 8 Pro Air is said to feature the Dimensity 9500. It is expected to house a 5,500mAh battery, although there is no information yet about its fast charging capabilities.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air’s rear camera setup is said to include a 1/1.3-inch Pro-level large primary sensor, accompanied by an ultra-wide lens and a telephoto camera.
