iQOO 15R’s chip confirmed
The iQOO 15R is officially confirmed to launch on Feb. 24 in India. Its Amazon page reveals that it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This indicates that it will rival the OnePlus 15R in the country, as it is also equipped with the same chipset.
The iQOO 15R’s official image reveals a squircle camera module fitted with a horizontal dual-camera setup. The entire back has a gamified chequered design. The black edition of the phone appears to have a plain design on the back.
The appearance of the phone suggests that it could be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which was launched earlier this month in China. To recall, the Z11 Turbo features a 6.59-inch OLED 1.5K screen offering a 144Hz refresh rate and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The Z11 Turbo features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and a 7,600mAh battery with 90W charging. It also features a Q3 chip for an enhanced gaming experience.
The Z11 Turbo has an OIS-assisted 200-megapixel main camera, coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the back. For selfies, it has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone also includes features such as IP68/69-level dust and water resistance, dual speakers, an IR blaster, and an X-axis linear motor.
