Vivo recently showcased the Vivo X300 Ultra along with its 400mm teleconverter kit at MWC 2026. While the phone is expected to launch in April, the brand has already started revealing key details about it. Today, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao shared the following image, which showcases the X300 Ultra’s primary camera alongside the X200 Ultra’s main camera.
Vivo X300 Ultra to feature 200-megapixel Sony LYT-901 main camera

Boxiao revealed that the Vivo X300 Ultra will be the world’s first smartphone to feature the Sony LYT-901 sensor. The 200-megapixel main camera will offer a 35mm focal length, making it ideal for street and portrait photography.
With a 1/1.2-inch sensor size, it is expected to intake 30 percent more light per pixel and offer CIPA 6.5-level stabilization. Additionally, it will also provide enhanced stability for videography and night photography.
The ALD PRO coating will ensure a 30 percent reduction in reflection and help prevent ghosting and flare. The lens has been upgraded from a 7P structure to a 1G + 6P structure, meaning it now includes one glass element and six plastic elements, which helps improve optical clarity while reducing distortion and internal reflections.
As far as other cameras are concerned, the X300 Ultra is expected to inherit the X300 Pro’s Sony LYT-828 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB periscope telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 autofocus-enabled front camera. The rear setup is also expected to include a 5-megapixel multispectral lens, which will offer next-level color accuracy.
The Vivo X300 Ultra will arrive with a 400mm teleconverter kit as an optional accessory for creators. For other users, it is expected to offer a more conventional teleconverter kit. The X300 Ultra is expected to launch in April in China and hit the global market in Q2.
