Intel today announced the availability of a new range of laptops from leading PC brands, powered by its most advanced Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, which are built on the latest Intel 18A process technology. The range includes revolutionary thin-and-light laptops that have achieved a breakthrough in performance and energy efficiency.

“The Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors enable a new class of thin-and-light laptops with exceptional performance and efficiency — ultra-portable devices that can handle demanding tasks such as playing AAA games and running AI chatbots locally, while still delivering all day battery life,” said George Chacko, General Manager of South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Sales Group, Intel.

Built for serious gaming on the go

Gaming laptops capable of playing AAA games have traditionally been bulky and power hungry, requiring dedicated graphics processors to enable smooth gameplay. These new laptops overcome that constraint, delivering gaming grade performance in a much thinner and lighter design.

Equipped with Intel’s highest performing integrated Intel Arc graphics, they offer graphics performance comparable to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, making them well suited for gaming, content creation and everyday multitasking on the go.

Top tier Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors feature up to 16 CPU cores and 12 Xe cores, delivering up to 60% faster CPU performance, up to 77% faster gaming performance and up to 27 hours of battery life while streaming Netflix.

Privacy, Speed, and Reliability: The Power of AI at the edge

Most users currently interact with Large Language Models (LLMs) through cloud-based interfaces that require an internet connection. This means an internet connectivity outage can render critical AI tools offline for hours. Users may also have privacy and confidentiality concerns sharing sensitive personal or corporate data with these services.

Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors now have the performance that makes it possible to run AI workloads such as a local LLM directly on the laptop rather than in the cloud, and deliver up to 1.9x higher large language model LLM performance.

By running these AI tasks locally, users can benefit from lower latency, reduced reliance on an Internet connection, and greater privacy by keeping sensitive data on their own device. This “AI at the edge” capability is supported by a dedicated Neural Processing Unit NPU with up to 50 Trillions of Operations Per Second TOPS, giving the laptop the specialised processing power needed to handle demanding AI tasks even without an internet connection.

Starting today, a diverse range of laptops powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors from leading PC brands including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI are available now at major electronics retailers, as well as through their official online stores and authorized resellers.
