The TWS earbuds family from Apple include three models at preset, such as AirPods (1st gen), AirPods (2nd gen) and the AirPods Pro. The second-generation AirPods Pro is one of the products that Apple is currently working. A fresh leak claims that the second-generation AirPods Prod will be announced in late 2020. The leak has also revealed its pricing.
In the U.S, the 1st and 2nd gen AirPods are priced at $159 and $199, respectively. The AirPods Pro costs $249. Leaks Apple Pro that is known for Apple leaks has claimed that the AirPods Pro 2 will carry the same price tag of $249. The leak claims that it will not be a major upgrade over the 1st generation product.
The leak revealed that the AirPods Pro 2 will offer a better battery life and a better noise cancellation support. Also, it will be equipped with ambient light sensors. A report by Digitimes had also claimed that the next generation AirPods will come with ambient light sensors. Its presence will allow users to make biometric measurements for tracking blood oxygen content as seen on the Apple Watch 6.
The leak has no information on the design of the AirPods Pro 2. Probably, it may not differ from the 1st gen model. Also, there is no word on its audio experience. The $249 priced Apple AirPods Pro 2 is expected to debut and release in the market in the fourth quarter of 2020 or early 2021.
The company is also rumored to be working on AirPods Studio over-ear headphones. It is expected to go official before the end of this year. However, production delays may cause the company to announce the AirPods Studio in early 2021.
