After the launch of the P40 series back in March, Huawei’s fans are now keenly anticipating the upcoming Mate 40 flagship series which is likely to debut in September or October this year.
With just a couple of months away from its official launch, we are beginning to see more leaks and rumors to surface. Today, an alleged screen protector of the Huawei Mate 40 had been leaked on Chinese Weibo which revealed that the device could possibly arrive with a curved display.
If you still remember, the vanilla Huawei Mate 30 in fact comes with a flat panel and only the Mate 30 Pro has a curved display. Hence, the latest leak seems to hint that both models will be featuring a curved display this time round.
Other than that, we could also glean that the upcoming Mate 40 will be featuring a hole-punch display, instead of having a similar top-notch design which we’d seen on the current Mate 30 lineup.
As of now, information pertaining to the Huawei Mate 40 remain scarce. However, recent reports have suggested that the device could feature a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and will be powered by the unannounced Kirin 1000-series flagship SoC.
