Recently, we’ve been hearing a lot about the upcoming Meizu 16 flagship courtesy of the company’s CEO Jack Wong who has been teasing the device on his Weibo blog every now and then. The latest piece of revelation from Wong seems to hint that the new flagship could arrive as early as August 26th later this month.
To make things even more saucy, an alleged Meizu 16 live shot had been leaked out earlier today – showing off an onscreen fingerprint sensor similar to the one we saw on the newly announced Vivo NEX S. As seen from the image above, there is also another handset with a relatively smaller display. Perhaps it could be the rumored Meizu 16 Lite which is touted to be powered by a watered-down Snapdragon 710 SoC, instead of the Snapdragon 845 SoC.
Aside from a in-display fingerprint sensor, the device will also come with other cool features including a vapour cooling chamber. Although its packed with all these impressive features, but Wong had also confirmed that the Meizu 16 will not cost more than $617, which makes it a really strong contender in the high-end smartphone market. For those who aren’t keen on getting a high-end smartphone, its good to know that Meizu is also currently prepping another mid-ranger dubbed as the Meizu X8 which is slated to be announced alongside their new flagships.
