Last year, HMD Global had unleashed the Snapdragon 835 powered Nokia 8 flagship phone in August. It is speculated that the Finnish firm may debut Snapdragon 845 powered Nokia 9 flagship phone within this year. The rumor mill has already released leaked photos of alleged Nokia 9 phone with penta-lens setup. However, fresh reports reveal that the Finnish firm won’t be launching the Nokia 9 flagship phone. Its arrival may have got pushed to February 2019.
Fresh details that have emerged today have revealed that the Nokia 9 may get announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 which will be held in February next year. Earlier, the company had launched Snapdragon 835 powered Nokia 8 Sirocco at a time when competing brands were busy launching Snapdragon 845 powered phones. It seems that the same thing may happen next year. In the first quarter of the coming year, many new flagship phones driven by 7nm Snapdragon 855 from companies like Samsung, LG, Xiaomi and so on may get unveiled. However, it may so happen that the Nokia 9 may arrive at the same time with Snapdragon 845 SoC.
As of this writing, there is no information available on the other specifications of the Nokia 9 flagship phone. As far as the penta-lens setup is concerned, it may include monochrome sensor, wide-angle lens, telephoto lens, and so on.
