Tipster Digital Chat Station has tipped key specifications of an upcoming Xiaomi phone. The leak reveals that the device will be equipped with a 200-megapixel camera. It appears that the tipster could be talking about the Redmi K50S Pro.
According to the tipster, Xiaomi will soon launch a flagship phone equipped with a 120Hz display and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. This device will be the company’s first smartphone to feature a 200-megapixel camera. In addition, it will house a battery of around 5,000mAh capacity.
The tipster did not reveal the name of the device. However, it appears that he could be talking about the Redmi K50S Pro.
Xiaomi has already launched a couple of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 powered smartphones, such as the Xiaomi 12S, the Xiaomi 12S Pro, and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. These devices will not be released in markets outside China. Reports have revealed that the global market will receive the Xiaomi 12T series.
The Xiaomi 12T lineup is said to include the Xiaomi 12T with Dimensity 8100 onboard and the Xiaomi 12T Pro powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Speculations are rife that these devices will be rebranded as the Redmi K50S and the Redmi K50S Pro in China.
A recent leak by ThePixel.vn claimed that the 12T Pro would be Xiaomi’s first 200-megapixel camera phone. Hence, it appears that the Redmi K50S Pro, being its rebranded version, will also feature the same camera.
It appears that it will not take too long for the Redmi K50S series to launch in China. The reason behind it is that the Redmi K50S Pro with model number 22081212C was spotted with a 120W charger at the 3C certification platform. Now that it is 3C certified, it may debut as early as next month in China.
