Samsung has just launched the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE globally, and the rumor mill has already switched its focus to the Galaxy S26 lineup, which may debut in January 2026. Well ahead of the launch, a device that’s believed to be the Galaxy S26 Edge has surfaced on Geekbench, revealing key details about the next-generation Snapdragon 8-series chipset that powers it.
Purported Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge Geekbench listing
The above shown Samsung device, carrying model number SM-S947U, is believed to be the US variant of the Galaxy S26 Edge. It has been spotted on Geekbench featuring a Qualcomm octa-core chipset featuring armv8 architecture, a base clock speed of 3.63GHz, and prime cores reaching 4.74GHz. These speeds exceed those of the current Snapdragon 8 Elite, strengthening speculation that the handset is running the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
The Geekbench listing further reveals that the S26 Edge is equipped with 12GB of RAM and Android 15. It has recorded 3393 in single-core and 11,515 in multi-core performance tests. These results surpass both the Galaxy S25 Edge and the S25 Ultra, even though the tested unit’s CPU was running below peak clock speed.
