Sony is reportedly working on a successor phone for the Xperia XZ1 flagship that was launched last year. Speculations are rife that it may debut as Xperia XZ2. The following image shows a mysterious Sony phone that will be arriving with non-existent bezels. It is speculated that the image may belong to the rumored Xperia XZ2.
As it can be seen above, there is only thick bezel on this mysterious phone that lies on top of the display. The bezels present on the sides and bottom of the screen are very thin. The right side of the phone features a Power key that is likely to feature an embedded fingerprint reader. A leaked render that had surfaced yesterday suggests that it may feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The same side also features a volume rocker and a dedicated key for launching the camera.
Sony has been criticized for still using its same old OmniBalance design that was first introduced in 2013. Hence, it is speculated to launch new phones with bezel-less design. However, it cannot be fully confirmed whether the above image really belongs to an upcoming Sony phone.
The rumor mill has already leaked the specs of the alleged Xperia XZ2 phone. It is expected to feature 5.48-inch FHD display, 12-megapixel dual rear cameras, 15-megapixel selfie camera, Android 8.0 Oreo, Snapdragon 845, and 3,130mAh battery.
