Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo X200 series of smartphones for China. Early reports claimed that the brand would unveil the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro in October of this year. However, a recent leak by tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the lineup may include a third model dubbed the Vivo X200 Mini, according to the rumor mill. In the latest leak, the tipster revealed that the device in question has a specific drawback.
The leak suggests that the Vivo X200 Mini’s shortcoming is a relatively positioned optical in-screen fingerprint sensor. This could be due to the X200 Mini being a compact model, as smaller devices often have limited space for more advanced sensor placements, resulting in this compromise.
Vivo X200 Mini specifications (rumored)
According to a previous Weibo post by the tipster, the Vivo X200 Mini may come equipped with a 6.3x-inch flat OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and possibly a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the X200 Mini is likely to feature the Dimensity 9400, which will also power the X200 and X200 Pro.
A 5,500mAh high-density silicon battery will power the X200 Mini. While there is no information available about the fast charging capabilities of the device, the X200 Mini’s rear camera setup is expected to feature e 70mm periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The X200 Mini is also expected to include Vivo’s self-developed imaging processing chip for an enhanced photography experience. It appears that the said device will compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Xiaomi 15, which is expected to have a similar-sized screen.
