Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi CIVI 3 smartphone. It will be a female-focused phone with powerful selfie cameras, similar to the previous CIVI models. Today, Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to leak the specifications of the CIVI 3.
The Xiaomi CIVI 2 came equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 mobile platform. However, it appears that the successor model could be equipped with a MediaTek chipset that has the model number MT6986. This indicates that the CIVI 3 will be powered by the Dimensity 8200.
On the front, it will have an FHD+ AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Since it is expected to feature a dual selfie camera setup, it may feature a pill-shaped camera cutout on the screen. The leak claims that it will have a pair of 32-megapixel selfie cameras.
The rear camera setup of the CIVI 3 will have a Sony IMX800 primary camera. It’s a step up since the main camera on the CIVI 2 is a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel primary camera. While the primary camera will get an upgrade, it appears that the other cameras may not get any significant upgrades.
The CIVI 2 was announced in September 2022. At present, there is no word on the launch date of the CIVI 3.
In related news, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro, and 13 Lite in the global market. The vanilla and Pro models are the same devices that debuted in December 2022 in China. The Lite model will be a rebranded version of the CIVI 2.
