Android marks the greatest growth in EU5 over the past 2 years

Analysts from Kantar Worldpanel, Android share growth reaches its new peak in the EU5 region consisting of Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. According to the report, its share has grown 7.1% point to hit an incredible 75.6% market share in the EU5.

In the United States on the other hand, Android share had also grown 7.3% up to a new height at 65.5%. Contributing to its extraordinary growth is no doubt the decline in the share of iOS and Windows. 6.6% of the Windows users had switched over to Android, while iOS having just 3.3% of its users switched over.

The main explanation to why so many users switched over to Android is due to the fact that Android offers better user experience and there are many much more brands and models for the users to select on. The pressure is now on Apple and Microsoft to turn the table.
