Asus ROG Phone 10 series with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in works

There are not many brands launching hardcore gaming-focused smartphones in the market. Nubia has recently confirmed that the Red Magic 11 Pro series of gaming smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will be unveiled on Oct. 17 in China. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Smart Pikachu, has revealed that the Asus ROG Phone 10 series gaming phones are also in the works.

According to the tipster, the ROG Phone 10 series will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It will have improved cooling, upgraded AI features, and a design consistent with the ROG family. The leak further mentions high refresh rate support, pogo pin connectors, and ray tracing, aiming to deliver a desktop-level gaming experience with extensive high-frame-rate game adaptations.

Likely, the ROG Phone 10 series may include two models, such as the ROG Phone 10 and Phone 10 Pro. These devices are expected to succeed the ROG Phone 9 and Phone 9 Pro, which debuted in November 2024.

The ROG Phone 9 and Phone 9 Pro carried only a few differences, as the Pro edition came with a higher 24GB+1TB configuration and an extra telephoto camera. There is a possibility that the ROG Phone 10 and Phone 10 Pro may arrive with similar differences. Likely, the new generation may debut in November this year globally.

Asus is yet to officially confirm the existence of the ROG Phone 10 series. Hopefully, the official teasers may surface in October.
