ASUS ROG Phone 3’s 12GB RAM Variant Spotted at Geekbench

Last month, an ASUS phone with model number ASUS_I003DD was spotted at Geekbench benchmarking platform. It is speculated that it could be the upcoming ROG Phone 3 gaming-centric smartphone. At that time, the handset was spotted with 8 GB of RAM. Today, a higher variant of the same phone has appeared on Geekbench 5.

On Geekbench 5, the ASUS_I003D smartphone has appeared with 12 GB of RAM.  The “kona” text mentioned in the motherboard field refers to the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. It has a base frequency of 1.80GHz.

The Android 10 OS is loaded on the ASUS ROG Phone 3 gaming phone. In the single-core test, the handset recorded a score of 910 and it reached a score of 3229 in the multi-core test. Rumors surrounding the ROG Phone 3 have claimed that it will go official in the third quarter of this year.

The ASUS_I003DD smartphone was previously spotted at the Wi-Fi certification platform. The listing had revealed that the phone is equipped with support for 2 x 2 dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Wi-Fi Direct and Miracast.

The other specifications of the ASUS ROG Phone 3 are currently under the wraps. The Geekbench appearance of the phone suggests that the Taiwanese company could be testing its performance ahead of launch. The ROG Phone 2 had launched in July last year. Hence, there is a possibility that its successor may go official in the next month.
