With just slightly more than a week towards the official launch of the new Asus ZenFone 6 flagship, more and more information on the device has begun to surface.
Today, Taiwanese news outlet eprice has shed some light on the pricing of the device as well. As expected, the upcoming Asus ZenFone 6 will still be coming with a rather hefty price tag even though its facing stiff competitions from the newly announced flagships including the OPPO Reno series which is retailing at a slightly cheaper price tag.
According to eprice, the upcoming ZenFone 6 will be coming in three different versions as follows:
- 6GB +128GB – NT$19,990 (US$647)
- 8GB + 256GB – NT$23,990 (US$776)
- 12GB + 512GB – NT$29,990 (US$970)
As compared to last year’s ZenFone 5Z, the new ZenFone obviously trumps in terms of specs. However, the price increase for this year’s model is huge if we compare the 8GB + 256GB model. Last year, the same model is retailing at just NT$18,900 (US$611) which is approximately $165 cheaper than the upcoming model. Although we’re not certain, but we definitely hope the new ZenFone 6 will come with some groundbreaking upgrades and features which could justify their raise in price.
