ASUS has officially confirmed that the company will be launching the much anticipated Zenfone 8 series smartphones on May 12th next month. Based on what we’d heard so far, ASUS is expected to launch at least three different models this year which include the likes of the Zenfone 8, Zenfone 8 Pro, as well as a compact model known as the Zenfone 8 Mini.
All three devices had been confirmed to be high-end models based on their recent Geekbench listings which revealed that the phones will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset that match them up with other top dogs in the market like the OPPO Find X3 Pro (Review) or the Galaxy S21 Ultra (Review) to name a few.
Among the three devices, the most interesting model is probably the Zenfone 8 Mini, a compact smartphone which is said to feature a front display size measuring just 5.92” diagonally. As such, this device shapes up to be a decent alternative over Apple’s iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini for those who appreciate the compactness of smaller smartphones.
Since we are just slightly more than two weeks away from its official launch date, we can expect more details to begin pouring in during the upcoming days leading to its launch.
