Recent reports have revealed that the KSR-A0 and PRS-A0 are the model numbers of the upcoming Black Shark 4 series of smartphones. Both models were recently spotted at the Google Play Console. The KSR-A0 model is speculated to break cover as the Black Shark 4, whereas the PRS-A0 could be the Black Shark 4 Pro. Today, the PRS-A0 smartphone appeared in the database of China’s TENAA telecom authority to reveal its images.
The TENAA listing of the Black Shark PRS-A0 smartphone has no details on its specifications. It only contains the images of the device.
The front image of the device resembles its photo that appeared in its Google Play Console listing. The handset seems to feature gaming trigger buttons and a side-facing fingerprint reader on the right edge and a volume rocker on the left spine. The Black Shark 3 series smartphones sported AMOLED displays with an in-screen fingerprint reader. However, the presence of a side-facing fingerprint sensor suggests it has an LCD display, which further indicates that it may not carry “Pro” in its moniker.
Flipping the device reveals its unique horizontal triple-camera module. The X-pattern that was previously seen on the Black Shark 3 series is not visible on the Black Shark 4 series phone. Since the rear design of the PSR-A0 is quite plain, it does not look like a gaming smartphone. Hopefully, the rear appearance of the final product could be slightly different.
The Google Play Console listing of the Black Shark PRS-A0 had revealed that the device is codenamed as “penrose.” It mentioned that the device has Snapdragon 865, which could be incorrect. It further revealed that the device has 12 GB of RAM, Android 11 OS, and supports at least Full HD+ resolution. The company is likely to announce the Black Shark 4 series by the end of this month or early in March.
