Last year, Black Shark launched the Black Shark 4 and 4 Pro in the first half of the year, and it unveiled the Black Shark 4S and 4S Pro in October 2021. Hence, it is expected to launch the Black Shark 5S series as an updated version of the Black Shark 5 and 5 Pro that were announced in March this year. In June, tipster Digital Chat Station tipped the key details of the next-generation Black Shark phones, which appear to be the Black Shark 5S or 5S Pro. Now, he is back with some more information about the upcoming Black Shark phone.
Today, the Chinese tipster revealed that the upcoming Black Shark phone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The tipster claimed that the engineering prototype of the device supported 2K resolution. However, it appears that the final product will have support for Full HD+ resolution.
It will draw power from a 4,790mAh battery, which will carry support for 100W charging. For selfies, it will be equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear camera setup of the device will have a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary camera, a 13-megapixel snapper, and a 2-megapixel camera.
The tipster appears to be referring to the Black Shark 5S, as he previously leaked information about another Black Shark phone with a 108-megapixel main camera in June. It seems that the Black Shark 5S Pro could be equipped with a 108-megapixel triple camera unit. It is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and support120W fast charging.
The Black Shark 5S series may launch in October. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know more about the lineup.
