Recent reports had revealed that an upcoming BlackBerry phone has a codename of Athena. The device has appeared on the website of TENAA in China only to reveal its images. Its specifications are yet to appear on the site. Also, fresh information reveals that the handset could be hitting the market as BlackBerry KEY².
The model number of the BlackBerry phone that has appeared at TENAA is BBF100-4 which suggests that it could be the successor of the BlackBerry KEYOne that has a model number of BBF100-1. The KEYOne was launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. The Athena phone retains the physical QWERTY keyboard. It features a dual camera setup on its back panel. Also, it screen appears to be taller in shape which indicates it aspect ratio will be higher than 3:2 that belongs to the KEYOne phone.
Shown above is a leaked photo of the Athena phone. At the very bottom of the image, readers can see the BlackBerry KEY² moniker. Hence, this could be the official name of the phone.
It is likely that the TCL-owned BlackBerry may debut the by June. The TENAA listing of the phone is expected to get update with complete specs in the near future.
