TCL that owns the BlackBerry brand of smartphones has confirmed during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 that it will be launching two new BlackBerry smartphones this year. It added that depending on the market reception of the upcoming BlackBerry phones, the company will consider launching more phones by the end of this year. TCL has also unveiled a new Bronze Edition for the well-received BlackBerry KEYone smartphone.
The BlackBerry KEYone Bronze Edition has an impressive matte bronze finish. It comes with the same specs and security features that are packed inside the existing KEYOne phone. The company has confirmed that it will begin the sales of the BlackBerry KEYone Bronze Edition in the first quarter of this in select markets such as Asia, Europe and the Middle East. As far as the pricing of the phone is concerned, the company said that it will be disclosing it later on.
Equipped with QWERTY keyboard, the KEYone features a 4.5-inch display that supports a resolution of 1,080 x 1,620 pixels. It is driven by Snapdragon 625 chipset. It is expected to be available in 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage models. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera and a selfie snapper of 8-megapixel. It is packed with a 3,050mAh battery. Rumors have it that TCL may unveil the successor of BlackBerry KEYone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 event in the next month.
