Coolpad, a Shenzhen-based telecommunication and equipment company might not be a household name like Xiaomi and OPPO in the smartphone world, but the company did launched quite a handful of noteworthy smartphones, including the brand new Coolpad Cool 20 Pro that was launched today.
Priced starting at 1,799 Yuan (US$282), the Coolpad Cool 20 Pro is a mid-range model which packs a 6.58” IPS LCD display that comes along with a FHD+ screen resolution and a slick 120Hz refresh rate. It also features an 8 megapixels front-facing camera that will help with selfie and video calls.
On the rear side of the phone, it has quite a rather huge square-shaped camera module which is home to a triple-cam array that includes a 50 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide unit, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera for close-up shots.
Under the hood, the Coolpad Cool 20 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset which is used in many popular models like the recently announced OPPO Reno7 SE. This will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 4,500mAh battery which carries support for 33W fast-charging. On the software side of things, we can expect the phone to boot on CoolOS 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
