Opera software has released a new Android app known as the Opera Max which will help users save up to 50% of their data usage every month. What’s great is that this app not only compresses data sent and received through your browsers, it also do the same thing across your Android apps. This means you will find your data usage for various apps including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to be reduced significantly. We’re not really sure how they do it, but according to them it involves some compression algorithms used in Opera’s servers.
Currently, Opera Max is in its beta version and is available for download for Android users residing in Europe and United States – although it’ll definitely be available to the rest of the world in a later date. For more information, you can visit their download page here.
