Recent reports have revealed that Samsung is working on two new phones with respective model numbers of SM-G8750 and SM-G8850 for China. A recent report had revealed that the SM-G8750 is internally being referred to as Galaxy Dream Lite. This suggested that the handset could be arriving to the market as Galaxy S8 Mini/Lite. Fresh information by well-known tipster @MMDJ reveals that the SM-G8750 would be launching as Galaxy S8 Lite whereas the SM-G8850 would be releasing as Galaxy A8 Star.
The Galaxy A8 Star that has been approved by TENAA is being assumed as an upgraded edition of Galaxy A8+ 2018. It is expected to feature 24-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual camera setup to take on the likes of Oppo and Vivo in China. The handset is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display that is likely to support 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It features a battery of 3,700mAh capacity. It may include Exynos 7885 SoC, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It will be loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo.
As far as Galaxy S8 Lite is concerned, it may feature Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64 GB. It will be also running on Android 8.0. The exact size of its display is not known, but it is expected to support 18.5:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution.
