During the official launch event of Vivo Z5 yesterday, Vivo has announced that the company has shipped more than 10 million units of smartphones from the “Z” series within a short span of 14 months.
If you can remember, Vivo Z1 was the first smartphone introduced in the “Z” series back in May last year. Since then, the company has been rigorously rolling out new units every few months to build up the “Z” series portfolio which consists of affordable mid-ranger smartphones.
Although this figure may seems huge, but it’s comparably lower than most of the company’s smartphone series. Just take the Vivo X20 for example – the X20 alone had managed to cross the 10 million mark within 4 months after it made it’s debut in 2017.
Nonetheless, this is still a major milestone for Vivo whose global footprint has expanded tremendously in recent years.
