Since the past two years, Google has been launching its Pixel smartphones on Oct. 4. Hence, it was speculated that the company may choose the same date for launching Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones this year. However, a recent report had claimed that the search engine giant may announce the Pixel 3 duo on Oct. 9. Today, the official confirmation has come from the company which confirms that its new phones will be announced on Oct. 9.
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL launch event will be held in New York City on Oct. 9 at 11 AM ET. The launch event will be livestreamed on YouTube. The rumor mill has already revealed almost everything about the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones.
The Pixel 3 XL is expected to feature a 6.7-inch notched display with 19:9 aspect ratio, 12-megapixel rear camera, dual 8-megapixel front cameras, 4 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 845 and 3,400mAh battery. The Pixel 3 has a 5.3-inch 18:9 aspect ratio screen and expect for a smaller battery the handset will be featuring the same internals as Pixel 3 XL. These phones are preinstalled with Android 9.0 Pie OS. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are expected to sell with respective price tags of $649 and $749.
