Google Pixel 3 series has no official repair support

Google released its new Pixel series, Gooogle Pixel 3 series some months ago. Unlike previous versions, the Pixel 3 has been fairly stable and there have not been many complaints so far. However, a user has spotted the fact that there is no repair support for the Google Pixel 3 series on the company’s official website. According to the user who uses a Pixel 3 phone, his device accidentally fell onto a concrete floor and the rear was badly broken. He immediately contacted Google’s official search for repair services, but the whole process was full of twists and turns.

The Google repair center does not list the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL for repairs. After further communication with Google, a support staff directed them to contact uBreakiFix (a US company which provides electronic equipment repair services). Google’s official Pixel mobile phone repair service page does not have the Pixel 3/3 XL thus if you crush your phone, you won’t be getting any repairs directly from Google, at least for now.

After evaluating the broken rear of the Pixel 3, uBreakiFix said the repair cost may cost $110. However, uBreakFix called three days later to say that the repair time of the phone may be extended because it cannot predict when the required components will be available. It further said that the only component it has on its shelf is the battery. Considering that the Pixel 3 series has been released for a month, such maintenance support services are clearly unsatisfactory. Some users on Reddit said that it is impossible to repair this device through uBreakiFix. Another source said that uBreakiFix could not get the necessary adhesive to reinstall the back cover glass.
