Google is reportedly working on the Google Pixel 5a mid-range phone. A fresh report claims that the company will announce it in August.
According to Bloomberg, the Pixel 5a will be launching and releasing in August. To recollect, the search engine giant had announced the Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G back in August last year. While the Pixel 4a was made available for purchase in the same month, its 5G variant went on sale in September.
Although the Pixel 4a came in 4G and 5G versions, but the Pixel 5a is expected to arrive in 5G version only. Past reports have claimed that the Snapdragon 765G SoC could be present under the hood. The company has previously used the same chip to power the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5.
A few months ago, reliable tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) had released the CAD renders of the Pixel 5a. The images revealed that it has a 6.2-inch OLED Full HD+ display with a hole-punch design.
The rear shell of the device may feature a conventional fingerprint scanner and a dual-camera setup with LED flash. Unfortunately, nothing else is known on the specifications of the smartphone.
Early reports have claimed that the Pixel 5a will be releasing in markets like the U.S. and Japan. However, the handset was founded listed in the database of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in the recent, which indicated that it could be coming to India. After the Pixel 5a, Google is likely to announce the Pixel 6 series of smartphones and Pixel Watch in October.
