The Google Pixel 6a was announced in May this year at the Google I/O 2022 event. At that time, the company confirmed a list of countries where Pixel 6a will be available. However, India was not included in the list. But later, the search giant did confirm the Pixel 6a’s arrival in the Indian market. Now, a fresh leak by popular YouTuber Sahil Karoul has revealed its launch date for the Indian market.
According to Karoul, the Pixel 6a will debut on Thursday (July 21) in India. He also claimed that it will carry a box price (maximum retail price) of Rs 43,999, which indicates that it may debut with a price tag of around Rs 37,000. However, there is no official confirmation on the Pixel 6a’s India launch.
Google Pixel 6a Specifications
The Google Pixel 6a has a 6.1-inch OLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The device is fitted with an 8-megapixel camera on the front. Its rear shell has a dual-camera setup, which includes a 12.2-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
The Pixel 6a is powered by the Google Tensor chip. It is equipped with 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device lacks external storage. It packs a 4,410mAh battery with 18W charging support. In other markets, it is available in Chalk, Charcoal, and Sage colors.
