In October, Google may unveil the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. Last month, Android Authority leaked information about the display and cameras of the Pixel 8 series. Now, it has published a new report with a Google insider as a source to reveal the battery size and charging capabilities of both smartphones.
The new leak reveals that the Pixel 8 series will have bigger batteries and slightly faster wired charging support. As per the report, the Pixel 8 will arrive with a 4,485mAh battery that supports 24W wired charging and 20W wireless charging. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro, will pack a 4,950mAh battery with 27W wired charging and 23W wireless charging.
In comparison, the Pixel 7 came with a 4,270mAh battery with 20W wired and 20W wireless charging. The Pixel 7 Pro, on the other hand, housed a 4,926mAh battery with 23W wired and 23W wireless charging.
As is known, the Pixel 8 series may come equipped with the all-new Tensor G3 chipset. While the Pixel 8 will have a 6.17-inch OLED display that offers 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,400 nits of brightness, and a 427 ppi pixel density. The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, will have a 6.7-inch OLED display that offers 1344 x 2992 pixels resolution, up to 1,600 nits of brightness, and a 490 ppi pixel density. The Pixel 8 series will run on Android 14 OS preinstalled.
The Pixel 8 duo will have an 11-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera setup of the vanilla model will have a 50-megapixel Samsung GN2 main camera and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 ultra-wide. The Pixel 8 Pro’s rear camera system will have a 50-megapixel Samsung GN2 primary camera, a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 telephoto camera.
The new report reveals that the Pixel 8 series will come with support for Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. It also said that it may be released on wider markets in Europe.
