Google unveiled the Pixel 9 series of flagship phones in August 2024. Speculations are rife that the brand is now working on its next mid-range phone, the Pixel 9a. A new leak, courtesy of AndroidHeadlines, has revealed that it will arrive with a price hike.

As per the report, the Pixel 9a will be available in 128 GB and 256 GB storage versions. The base model will be priced at $499, which is the same as the 8GB+128GB edition of the Pixel 8a from last year.
To recall, the 8GB+256GB edition of the Pixel 8a was priced at $559. However, the Pixel 9a with the same configuration will arrive with a hiked price of $599.

According to reports, the Google Pixel 9a will arrive with a 6.285-inch OLED panel that offers an FHD+ resolution, up to 2,700 nits of maximum brightness, and up to 1,800 nits of HDR brightness. The device will come preloaded with the latest version of Android 15.
The Pixel 9a will be powered by the downclocked version of the Google Tensor T4 chipset. It will be equipped with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is expected to house a 5,100mAh battery, the largest ever seen on a Pixel-branded phone.
The Pixel 9a will have a 48-megapixel main camera with OIS support and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the back. It is expected to feature a 13-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. It is speculated to launch as early as March in multiple markets across the globe.
