Google shipped more than 7.2 million smartphones in 2019

According to the latest report from IDC, Google had shipped more than 7.2 million Pixel smartphones in 2019. This equates to an impressive 52% year-on-year growth over 2018’s figure.

Courtesy of its top-line growth, Google had managed to surpass OnePlus in shipment number in 2019. IDC noted that the company performed incredibly well in several markets including USA, Western Europe, as well as Japan. Despite that, the company is still far from reaching the top 10 positions based on shipment number according to IDC.

Although Google isn’t a household name as compared to other smartphone makers like Samsung and Huawei, but the Google Pixel lineup is in fact some of the attractive smartphones in the market – offering a unique stock Android experience and powerful cameras for its users.

In build upon the company’s success, Google is rumored to hold a launch event in July where they will unveil the brand new Google Pixel 4A.
