For starter, the Galaxy S20 and S20+ share pretty much the same camera configurations. The main difference lies in the existence of a ToF sensor on the latter.
Other than that, the pair will boast a 12 megapixels primary shooter, a 64 megapixels telephoto camera, as well as a 12 megapixels ultra-wide camera. Although not mentioned in the Tweet, but earlier reports have suggested that the telephoto camera is able to achieve up to 3x optical zoom and as much as 30x total zoom.
As it’s name suggests, the Galaxy S20 Ultra will boast the best camera system in the entire Galaxy S20 lineup. It will be fitted with a 108 megapixels primary camera, a 48 megapixels periscope camera, a 12 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a ToF sensor.
The highlight of the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s camera will be the so-called “Space Zoom” feature courtesy of it’s powerful periscope lens. This allows the device to reach up to 10x optical zoom and as much as 100x hybrid zoom. In comparison, the current OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is able to achieve only up to 10x hybrid zoom.
We’ll definitely learn more about the Galaxy S20 series smartphones as we edge closer towards their official launch on February 11th.
