Announced back in August 2020, the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset is a mid-ranger chip fabricated under a 7nm process. It is based upon an octa-core architecture consisting of a pair of Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0Hz.
As with any other chipset within MediaTek’s Dimensity line, the Dimensity 800U chip is able to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone 5G modes. On the graphical-side, it will be assisted by a Mali-G57 MC3 GPU.
Currently, the list of smartphones with Dimensity 800U SoC include Realme V15, Realme X7, Realme 7 5G, Realme Q2, Realme Q2 Pro, Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9T and iQOO U3.
