Following the high profile launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note20 flagship series, the Korean smartphone maker is now gearing up for another exciting handset – Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition a.k.a Galaxy S20 FE.
This device, as we know will be a “lite” version of the current Galaxy S20 which will maintain some of its key flagship features while offering the device at a more affordable price point.
Right now, Indian publisher Pricebaba had partnered with well-accredited leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer to bring us our first near-official look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 FE.
Based on the renders, the Galaxy S20 FE will be built around a central hole-punch display which is said to measures between 6.4 or 6.5-inches diagonally. The front display, which is likely to be an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, will be accompanied by thin bezels along its sides.
Over at the back, there is also a familiar-looking rectangular camera housing which will play host to a triple-cameras system. These cameras, according to earlier reports, are expected to include a 12MP Sony IMX555 main camera, 12 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as an 8 megapixels telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. This will be rounded up by a 32 megapixels selfie camera at the front.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S20 FE will be equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset along with possibly up to 12GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage capacity. As usual, the device should be able to support microSD card for further memory expansion as well.
To keep its light on, the Galaxy S20 FE is said to feature a respectable 4,500mAh battery with fast-charging support. In terms of pricing, the upcoming Galaxy S20 FE is expected to be around US$200 cheaper than the vanilla Galaxy S20.
