Starting with the ASUS Zenfone 8 Flip, this device is likely to be the most expensive model within the Zenfone 8 series lineup. It’s in fact the only model in the upcoming series that will retain the familiar flipping cameras which work both as rear cameras, as well as selfie cameras when its flipped up 180 degrees.

According to the folks over at 91Mobiles, these cameras are expected to include a 64 megapixels main camera which will be assisted by an 8 megapixels telephoto lens and a 12 megapixels macro camera. Upfront, the ASUS Zenfone 8 Flip features an unblemished 6.67” display that’s free of notches and hole-punches. It will be an AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 90 Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the phone is fueled by an octa-core Snapdragon 888 mobile platform coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 30W fast-charging.

Coming to the ASUS Zenfone 8, this device will be a “compact” smartphone that comes with a much smaller 5.92” AMOLED display with FHD+ screen resolution. Unlike the Zenfone 8 Flip, the vanilla Zenfone 8 do have a hole-punch cutout situated on the top-left corner of its front display.

Around the back of the phone, there’s a rectangular camera island that houses a dual-camera setup that brings along a 64 megapixels main camera and a 12 megapixels macro camera. It lacks the 8 megapixels telephoto lens that’s found in the Zenfone 8 Flip.

However, the Zenfone 8 will be powered by the same Snapdragon 888 chipset which is paired with a slightly watered-down memory configuration consisting of 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. To keep its light on, there’ll be a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support.
