After launching the OPPO Reno5 series smartphones in the Chinese market earlier this month, OPPO is now gearing up for the global launch of the OPPO Reno5 4G in several markets over the next couple of weeks.
So far, here’s the list of countries which have been confirmed to launch the OPPO Reno5 4G device:
- Vietnam (December 30th, 2020)
- Cambodia (December 31st, 2020)
- Indonesia (January 12th, 2021)
- Malaysia (January, 2021)
- Singapore
- Thailand
- Taiwan
For those who do not know, the OPPO Reno5 4G will be slightly different from the Chinese variant in several aspects. Firstly, the device will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 720G chipset instead of the Snapdragon 765G SoC and will therefore be lacking of 5G connectivity.
Next, it’ll also ditch the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 for the first generation’s 50W SuperVOOC flash charging instead. However, it’ll be equipped with an upgraded 44 megapixels selfie camera in place of the 32 megapixels sensor found in the Chinese variant.
Other than that, the rest of the specs remain largely unchanged including the same 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, 64MP quad cameras, 4,300mAh battery, as well as the latest ColorOS 11 running out of the box.
As for the OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G, it is expected to arrive slightly later than the Reno5 4G.
