Huawei is scheduled to launch the next-generation’s Nova 8 series smartphones in the Chinese market on December 23rd next week. As usual, more information pertaining to the device has begin pouring in ahead of its official launch.
Right now, even the official specs of the Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro duo had been leaked out, though their overall designs remain largely a mystery. Based on the alleged specs published, the upcoming Nova 8 series devices are expected to be powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 985 chipset – just like the current Nova 7 and 7 Pro.
At the front, the vanilla Huawei Nova 8 will be arriving with an OLED display that supports a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and 10-bits color depth. The Nova 8 Pro on the other hand, is said to feature a curved display with a bumped up 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth. However, the source failed to clarify whether the front display will be an OLED or LCD panel for the Nova 8 Pro.
Coming to the camera department, both devices are tipped boast a quad camera system headlined by a 64 megapixels primary shooter. For selfies, the vanilla Nova 8 has a single 32 megapixels front-facing camera while the Nova 8 Pro on the other hand, settles of a dual front-facing cameras comprising of a 32 megapixels main snapper and a secondary shooter.
Unsurprisingly, both devices will be carrying support for the latest 66W Huawei SuperCharge fast-charging solution which was also found in the flagship Huawei Mate40 Pro (Review). Last but not the least, they will be offered in both 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB memory variants.
