Chinese smartphone maker HiSense may not be a household name within the smartphone world, but it does have a relatively strong presence in the African region where the company had recently announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the HiSense E31 Lite.
The HiSense E31 Lite features a 6.5” IPS LCD display that comes with HD+ screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera housed within it’s U-shaped notch upfront.
At the back, the phone features a square shape camera module which may appear to have two cameras, but actually has a single 8 megapixels main camera aided by a LED flash.
Under the hood, the HiSense E31 Lite is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A chipset which is coupled with 1GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is fitted with a respectable 4,550mAh battery with an unspecified charging speed. Software-wise, it’s shipped with Android 11 OS out of the box.
In South Africa, the HiSense E31 Lite is priced at 1,699 SAR (US$114) for it’s 1GB+16GB variant.
