HMD Global launches Nokia 2.4 & Nokia 3.4 entry-level smartphones

HMD Global has officially announced a new pair of entry-level smartphones in the global market known as the Nokia 2.4 and Nokia 3.4. These two devices will be targeted toward the more budget conscious consumers.

Among the pair, the Nokia 3.4 will be the highest-end model. It features a 6.39-inches HD+ LCD display which comes with a hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner that houses an 8 megapixels selfie camera.

Over at the back, the device has a triple camera system consisting of a 13 megapixels primary shooter, 5 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. Other than that, there’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner a well.

In terms of internals, the Nokia 3.4 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 460 chipset which will be assisted by up to 4GB RAM along with 64GB onboard storage which can be further expanded by a microSD card.

It is equipped with a respectable 4,000mAh battery which is capable of supporting hours of continuous usage. Of course, it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In the European markets, the Nokia 3.4 comes with a starting price of 160 Euros (US$187) for the 3GB+32GB model.

Next up, the Nokia 2.4 arrives with a slightly larger 6.5-inches HD+ LCD display which comes with a dewdrop-notch at the top which play host to a 5 megapixels selfie camera.

At the back, the device will feature a dual camera setup consisting of a 13 megapixels primary shooter and a 2 megapixels depth sensor. More specifically, it lacks the 5 megapixels ultra-wide camera on the higher-end Nokia 3.4. Apart from that, it will still be maintaining a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the Nokia 2.4 will be powered by a watered down MediaTek Helio P22 chipset paired with up to 3GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. As usual, the device also supports microSD card for further memory expansion.

Interestingly, the Nokia 2.4 has a slightly larger 4,500mAh battery as compared to the Nokia 3.4. Other than that, it also carries support for the 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

In terms of pricing, it comes with a starting price of 120 Euros (US$140) for its 2GB+32GB model in the European markets.
