Honor 20S Spotted in a Series of Real Life Images

Although the Honor 20S has yet to make it’s official debut, but we’d already saw it’s entire design from a trio of official renders earlier this week.

Right now, even it’s real life images have been leaked out as well – showing off the device in it’s Feather Dish Blue variant.

As seen from the “About Phone” screen of the Honor 20S, the device is apparently driven by the Kirin 810 SoC which is found in the recently announced Honor 9X Pro.

With that in mind, it is pretty obvious that the Honor 20S is a watered-down version of the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro. Many believed that the device was introduced to compete against the Redmi Note 8 Pro, which is priced at an extremely competitive price tag of just 1,399 Yuan (US$196) for it’s 6GB+64GB model.

Yesterday, Honor had teased that the device will be a selfie-centric smartphone with 32 megapixels selfie camera and will come with various intuitive features including the Super Night Mode for taking flattering selfies under dark environment.

Therefore, the Honor 20S pretty much remains a powerful upper mid-ranger smartphone even though some of it’s internals have been toned down a little. However, this device be a perfect phone for those who do not require those insanely powerful specs like those of the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro duo.

If nothing goes wrong, the Honor 20S will be officially announced on September 4th later this week. Besides the Honor 20S, the Chinese smartphone maker will also be introducing another device during the launch event as revealed by the company’s president George Zhao.

According to reports out of China, this mysterious device is likely to be the new generation’s Honor Play.
