After making their official debut in China last month, the highly anticipated Honor 30 series finally heads to the global market starting with Russia. However, only two models – Honor 30 and Honor 30 Pro+ – were launched in the Russian market.
In terms of pricing, the Honor 30 is priced at 34,990 Russian Ruble (US$496) for its 8GB+128GB model and 39,990 Russian Ruble (US$567) for its 8GB+256GB model. The higher-end Honor 30 Pro+ on the other hand, is priced at 54,990 Russian Ruble (US$779) for its sole 8GB+256GB model. In fact, the pricing in the Russian market is actually similar to the launch price in China.
Since its launch in China, the Honor 30 series smartphones have enjoyed huge popularity among the consumers. According to Honor, approximately 54,500 to 100,000 Honor 30 series smartphones were sold within the first minute if its debut sale.
Honor 30 Specifications
The Honor 30 will be the most affordable model in the entire lineup. It features a 6.53-inches OLED panel which has a FHD+ screen resolution and an integrated in-display fingerprint sensor. Its hole-punched compartment will be home to a single 32 megapixels selfie camera.
Over at the flip-side, the Honor 30 will sport a quad-camera setup comprising of a 40 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 8 megapixels telephoto lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.
The Honor 30 is driven by a 5G-enabled Kirin 985 SoC which will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage space. The device will maintain the same 4,000mAh battery with 40W fast-charging support. However, it will lack support for wireless charging.
Honor 30 Pro+ Specifications
No doubt, the headlining feature of the Honor 30 Pro+ will be its revolutionary triple-camera setup which is equipped with the latest Sony’s IMX700 sensor as its main camera. In fact, this is same sensor as the Huawei P40 Pro which offers 50 million effective pixels with RYYB color filter. Moreover, it is also capable of supporting AI RAW photos.
Moving on, there will also be a 16 megapixels ultra-wide lens which doubles up as a macro camera as well. This will be followed by an 8 megapixels telephoto lens which is capable of achieving up to 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and as much as 50x digital zoom.
At the front, the Honor 30 Pro+ features a 6.57-inches OLED dual-curved display with FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate. The dual hole-punched compartment on the front panel also houses a 32 megapixels selfie camera which will be assisted by an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens. Moreover, there will also be an in-display fingerprint sensor as well.
Under the hood, the device will be driven by the flagship Kirin 990 platform which will allow the device to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. This will be coupled with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage space.
To keep its lights on, there will be a respectable 4,000mAh battery which supports up to 40W fast-charging and 27W wireless charging. It will run on the latest Magic UI 3.1 based on Android 10 (AOSP version).
